INGREDIENTS
Serves 3-4
- 500 ml oatmeal
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 500 ml water
- 500 ml milk
- 20 ml butter
- pinch of salt
- honey to taste
- a few dollops of peanut butter
- banana, sliced
- nuts and/or dried cranberries – optional
METHOD
Put the oatmeal, water, milk, salt and cinnamon stick in the Medium Gourmet Roaster. Stir to mix. Microwave, uncovered for 10-minutes on high. Add more milk/cream/water if the oats looks too dry. Close with the lid and let it rest for 3-4 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick. Serve with honey, dollops of peanut butter, banana slices, nuts and dried cranberries (or any other dried fruit of your choice).
> You can replace the milk with water but the milk makes for a creamier texture.

- 500 ml hawermout
- 1 kaneelstokkie
- 500 ml water
- 500 ml melk
- 20 ml botter
- knippie sout
- heuning na smaak
- ‘n paar klontjies grondboontjiebotter
- piesang, in skywe gesny
- neute en/of gedroogte bessies (cranberries)
METODE
Plaas die hawermout, water, melk, sout en die kaneelstokkie in die Medium Gourmet Roaster. Roer deur en mikrogolf, sonder die deksel vir 10-minute op hoog. Voeg nog melk/room/water by indien die hawermout te droog is. Bedek met die deksel en laat dit vir 3-4 minute rus. Verwyder die kaneelstokkie. Bedien met heuning, klontjies grondboontjiebotter, piesang, neute en gedroogte bessies (of enige ander gedroogte vrugte van jou keuse).
> Die melk kan met water vervang word maar die melk gee die oats ‘n lekker romerige tekstuur.
