RECIPE / RESEP
1) Cook together for 7 minutes on high:
- 250g fruit cake mix (raisins, sultanas, currants)
- 250g glazed fruit (green figs, makataan, pitted dates)
- 300g cherries
- 250ml brown sugar
- 180ml (175g) margarine
- 350ml Rooibos tea
- Stir in 10ml baking soda and 200ml nuts after 7 minutes (nuts are optional).
2) Beat 2-eggs together.
3) Mix together:
- 500ml flour
- a pinch of salt
- ½tsp cinnamon
- ½tsp ginger
- 2ml nutmeg
- 10ml coffee
- 15ml cocoa
Mix 1, 2 and 3 together. Spray the Cake Pudding Ring with non-stick spray. Put baking paper in the bottom. Pour the dough into the Cake Pudding Ring. Place an inverted plate on top of the cake ring. Microwave the cake for 20 minutes on high. Allow to cool. Turn over and pour 150ml brandy over the cake. Wrap in foil and store in a cool and dry area. Pour 50ml brandy, once a week over the cake. Allow a little time for the brandy to properly soak into the cake before closing the foil again.
TRY SOMETHING NEW:

1) Kook saam vir 7 minute op hoog:
- 250g vrugtekoekmengsel (rosyne, sultanas, korente)
- 250g geglasuurde vrugte (groenvye, makataan, ontpitte dadels)
- 300g kersies
- 250ml bruinsuiker
- 180ml (175g) margarien
- 350ml rooibostee
- Roer 10ml koeksoda en 200ml neute na 7 minute by (neute is opsioneel).
2) Klits 2-eiers saam.
3) Meng saam:
- 500ml meel
- ‘n knippie sout
- ½ tl kaneel
- ½ tl gemmer
- 2ml neutmuskaat
- 10ml koffie
- 15 ml kakao
Meng 1, 2 en 3 saam. Spuit die Cake Pudding Ring met kleefwerende sproei. Sit bakpapier onder in. Gooi die deeg in die koekring. Plaas ’n omgekeerde bord bo-op die koekring. Mikrogolf die koek vir 20 minute op hoog. Laat afkoel. Draai om en gooi 150ml brandewyn oor die koek. Draai toe in foelie en bêre in ‘n koel en droë area. Gooi 50ml brandewyn een keer per week oor die koek. Laat ‘n bietjie tyd vir die brandewyn om behoorlik in die koek in te trek voor jy die foelie weer toemaak.
