RECIPE / RESEP
INGREDIENTS POLENTA
- 2 x 250 ml Polenta or maize meal,
- 10 ml salt and any other flavourings to taste,
- 2 x 250 ml lukewarm water or 1 cup water + 1 cup milk,
- 40 ml butter.
Put the dry Polenta and salt in the Small Deep Gourmet Roaster and microwave for 3-5 minutes on High. Add the lukewarm water and mix well. Cover with the lid and microwave for 7-10 minutes on High. Take out of the microwave and stir with a fork until crumbly. Mix in the butter and set aside to cool completely.
INGREDIENTS VEGGIES
- 750 ml frozen Hawaiian stir fry veggies or any other vegetables of your choice,
- 2.5 ml seasoning of your choice (salt & pepper),
- 1 small red onion, peeled and cut into rings,
- 2 Feta cheese wheels and rocket leaves.
Microwave the stir fry for 7-10 minutes on High in the Medium Classic Roaster until cooked, but still firm (al dente). Set aside to cool completely.
ASSEMBLE THE SALAD
Spoon the cooled Polenta into the Classic Salad / Gourmet Salad / Round Salad. Add the cooled vegetables, red onion rings, feta and rocket leaves. Season to taste. Serve with Honey Vinaigrette or Honey and Mustard Salad dressing.
HONEY VINAIGRETTE:
- ½ clove of garlic, crushed,
- 10 ml soy sauce,
- 30 ml honey,
- 15 ml lemon juice,
- freshly ground black pepper,
- 60 ml olive oil.
Mix thoroughly crushed garlic, honey, soy sauce, lemon, and black pepper. Add olive oil and shake or whisk until the dressing is smooth.
BESTANDDELE POLENTA
- 2 x 250 ml Polenta of mieliemeel,
- 10 ml sout en enige ander geurmiddels na smaak,
- 2 x 250 ml louwarm water of 1 koppie water + 1 koppie melk,
- 40 ml botter.
Plaas die droë Polenta en sout in die Small Deep Gourmet Roaster en mikrogolf vir 3-5 minute op High. Voeg die louwarm water by en meng goed. Bedek met die deksel en mikrogolf vir 7-10 minute op Hoog. Haal uit die mikrogolf en roer met ‘n vurk tot krummelrig. Meng die botter by en sit eenkant om heeltemal af te koel.
BESTANDDELE GROENTE
- 750 ml bevrore Hawaiiaanse roerbraai groente of enige ander groente van jou keuse,
- 2,5 ml geurmiddels van jou keuse (sout en peper),
- 1 klein rooi ui, geskil en in ringe gesny,
- 2 fetakaaswiele en roketblare.
Mikrogolf die groente vir 7-10 minute op Hoog in die Medium Classic Roaster tot gaar, maar steeds ferm (al dente). Sit eenkant om heeltemal af te koel.
SIT BY MEKAAR
Skep die afgekoelde Polenta in die Classic Salad / Gourmet Salad / Round Salad. Voeg die afgekoelde groente, rooi uieringe, feta en roketblare by. Geur na smaak. Sit voor met heuningvinaigrette of heuning en mosterdslaaisous.
HEUNING VINAIGRETTE:
- ½ knoffelhuisie, fyngemaak,
- 10 ml sojasous,
- 30 ml heuning,
- 15 ml suurlemoensap,
- varsgemaalde swartpeper,
- 60 ml olyfolie.
Meng fyngedrukte knoffel, heuning, sojasous, suurlemoen en swartpeper deeglik. Voeg olyfolie by en skud of klits tot die slaaisous glad is.
